Music Classes From Home

We are here to help.  From general music classes for grades K-8, high school and beyond.
This 2020-2021 school year is about to bring about many changes to the way students will be taught.  Many families have opted to homeschool and the idea of music instruction may be a little worrisome.  Let us help!

Music Room is launching a K-12 General Music program via Zoom in order to help students fulfill music education requirements.  There are 16 different classes to choose from, with options to suit any level of experience and musical interest.

How It Works:
- Most classes will have instruction twice a week for 40 minutes for the duration of the school year.  Some of the classes are 30 minutes and some are longer.
- Upon receipt of the first payment, students and families will receive a welcome email, and prior to their first day of class, will also receive codes for their Zoom meeting room and their information for any additional instructional interfaces, such as Google Classroom or Edmodo, depending on the instructor's choice.

- Students will be taught interactively and will be assessed often, in order to generate accountable grades.
- Instructors are REAL PEOPLE and will be teaching in real time, not as a pre-recorded self-paced study program.  All efforts are being made for you to bring home a real general music classroom.

- Our classes will give you the assurance and confidence that your child is receiving an experience where they are learning exactly what they need to at their grade level, will prepare them if they are to return to school in-person, and will give them valuable knowledge for any future musical endeavors.
-The K-8 curriculum was designed by Karen Janiszewski, the owner of Music Room, who taught K-8 general music in a school prior to taking over the studio.  This curriculum was designed to be taught with no textbooks, very few supplies, and no classroom budget.

-All instructors have years of teaching experience at the studio and/or elsewhere, and have college degrees in music, education, or both.  See instructor bios for details.

-Payments are made monthly directly to the instructor, not to a large company!  Your instructor will manage every aspect of your class, from the registration, the content, the grades and will help make sure that they can sign off on or provide any proof of instruction you might need to submit.

-Family and multi-class discounts will be available!  Subtract 10% per monthly payment for each additional family member, or elective class added.

-Registration is open!  To get your child's name on the roster or to get additional information, please email the instructors directly.

-Have a scheduling conflict?  The teachers will be recording their sessions so students may access the material later!
