This class includes lecture and performing with general Music skills like how to read music, with a heavy focus on playing recorder! Students will also learn to write their own songs, and we'll talk about performance skills and the different instrument families so you'll be ready to play in band!
This class will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm to 3:40pm.
High School Music Appreciation
Two 40-minute classes each week at $76/month.
This is the perfect class for the high school student that does not take an instrument, but needs a music class requirement filled. Students will be learning about various musical styles of past and present, how to more clearly analyze the music they listen to, and much, much more. This class is guaranteed to be light and fun, but with a lot of worthwhile learning.
This class will meet on Tuesdays from 5:00pm to 5:40pm and on Fridays from 1:00pm to 1:40pm.
Recital Seminar, Grades 4-8
Lecture, performing, group critique
-Each student will have an opportunity to perform pieces they are
working on and get feedback from their peers, as well as learn how to
critique their own performances so they can improve for next time!
They will also learn concert etiquette, practice tips, skills for
learning a new piece of music, and much more! This is perfect for the student that craves to be a good, fearless performer.
This class will meet each week on Mondays from 5pm to 6pm. The fee is $40/month.
Monthly Masterclass For Instrumentalists
Topics TBA. This class is a lecture presentation with group discussion/participation. A masterclass (which is something common in college music programs) discusses topics that specifically the students involved and their musical disciplines they currently study.
This class will meet on the first Friday of each month, 2:00pm-3:00pm and the fee is $10 per session.
